It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I was given a provisional xmas job offer on 7th October and was told I would be given my start date by email within 2 weeks. It's now 2nd Nov and I've heard nothing. I rang Angard on Monday to ask what was going on and they said they had to contact another team and someone would ring me back in 10 minutes. 48 hours later I haven't heard anything. Does anyone know what's going on?? I've worked on the xmas post for several years running and I'd like to think I have a good chance of being employed this year...
Thanks
