Just to clarify.........it is scheduled days off that have been suspended. For example I'll get a day off in the week, but it won't necessarily be the day I should have.

To the various people who have replied to my post I'll say the following. Working through my break.......? Yes that's down to me. I shouldn't do it but I do out of a sense of loyalty to my customers. Don't leave the union because you need the union's strength......? Well to do what? The union has given away everything to RM in return for a promise of no redundancies - it has no weapons left. Going on strike is no threat to RM. Outside of major cities most postmen went in to work during the last strike, and as soon as RM is privatised there will be mass redundancies and the union will have no say whatsoever. Just about anything can be covered by "flexibility", and the CWU has signed up to it. Take your complaints further up the chain...? I've done that in the past, as far up the chain as head office in London. The bottom line is that the CWU isn't going to contradict or go against its area or office reps. I have to be careful what I say on here, but in our office our union rep has a very friendly relationship with our DOM, and doesn't exactly have the most difficult round in the office. Neither party is going to rock the boat.

I'm not anti-CWU, and it's not about the money. I just feel it's pointless paying union subs to a union who have sold their soul for a promise of no redundancies.
