The trouble for those of you who hide your racism behind some sort of pseudo-economic argument is you have been banging the same drum for too long.
Now it is the "Poles".
Before it was the "Pakis" -(Indian, Sri Lankan, Bangladeshi or from Kenya and Uganda)
Before that it was the Darkies - (African, Carribbean)
Side stepping the Vietnamese (Hong Kong?)
Before that it was the Jews.
Before that it was the Huguenots.
Which all leaves aside the fact that probably the largest group to have emigrated to the UK are......

You are saying that taxpayers are paying for the services that immigrants use but immigrants are not paying their fair share of taxes because they are working cash in hand. Also, immigrants are more likely to work for less and this results in wages being kept low.

You imply that immigration is encouraged because it provides cheap labour.

I agree that people are being imported into this country to do the manual work so that some members of established British tribes can be given better paid jobs managing them and British hypocrisy prevents anyone from being upfront about it.

Some incapable British tribal members are being given 'middle class' managerial jobs and some talented refugees find that the only option available to them is to become a second class employee or to start a business because the cushy employee jobs are reserved for the British tribes (seniority argument). Some British tribal members are getting more money than their talent deserves and every family probably has at least one overpaid idiot who is convinced they are really clever.

Is this 'slavery' system working or would it be better to pay the people doing the actual work proper wages and promote others according to their ability?

The most frightening thing in this world is an idiot who some other idiot has allowed to have some power and I'm afraid this country is full of them. The only reason that using French and Italian words to sell things for stupid prices works is because the Ponserati are too stupid to speak French or Italian. Some of these twats sneer at people like Gaza but he can speak fluent Italian, something they would love to do but don't have the ability to do. Nevertheless, they consider themselves superior because they are 'middle class'.

The mainstream political parties are selling voters the idea that they will make them 'middle class' and as anyone can become 'middle class', doing manual work is a sign of failure. Jobs essential to society like cleaning are seen as inferior.

However, if the 'middle class' are superior, why can't the majority of the British 'middle class' speak a foreign language?

It's time to stop this deception and start valuing people who do essential work that doesn't require them to demean themselves by lying to others.

2) The greater the population, the greater the number of jobs. More production, more services are required. Shrink the population and the number of jobs shrink at the same time.

This is not happening in this economic climate, we have a population increase without the commensurate increase in employment, we are actually experiencing a reverse, cutbacks will get worse as the Government has to balance the books, no one can spend their way out of a recession, that money has to come from somewhere and has to be paid back.

Its like having an overdraft with the threat of bankruptcy and spending more money in shops and plumbers just to keep them in a job, in the end the money runs out and the bank wants it back.

As recently as the 80's when Thatcher,the original Cameron was destroying all before her and we had massive unemployment,economic migration was a serious issue.
The difference was it was our brickies,plasterers,labourers etc moving over to countries like Germany,France and Holland looking for work.
Some of them were a rough bunch but they were just looking for work so they could send money home to their families.
You would naturally applaud them for not sitting at home scrounging off the dole.
We have a strange thing with double standards and very short memories in this country.

I could not pass some of the nastier comments on this thread.
For an unemployed person to come and work even 16 hours a week
would be good for their self esteem, get an extra bob or two and maybe a foot in in the door. I still remember how soul destroying unemployment was.

On mass immigration: I think that this is just "the tragedy of the commons" being played out in a 21st century setting. You cannot despise people for wanting a slice of the action. It worked o.k whilst the housing bubble was inflating, with all the tax revenues and support services therein.

Our lords and masters have screwed over ALL of this nations workers royally and will continue to do so, regardless of their favourite coloured rosette.

Unemployment is rising and will continue to do so for some time to come, not like there's any jobs to go around to immigrants at the moment.

As for it being a benefit to the economy, nothing fantastic, they do a job, they might pay some tax but most of the money leaves the country so there's very little extra benefit for the economy above the basics of the workers buying food/clothes for themselves.

Just because there's more people in the country doesn't mean more work - take a look at RM, mail volumes declining and a significant number of jobs gone too, has the population declined, no.. Most big companies are looking to make the workers work harder/more efficiently, just like we are expected to perform miracles with a van and trolley - they use methods like this to reduce numbers, particularly now with times being supposedly tough.

But to finish on a lighter note, I appluad the workers (not the conning twats that nip over) for coming here and finding work when there's lazy arsed f***ers in this country that do their very best to sponge off the state for life!!!
