London wide industrial action ballot.

Post by POSTMAN »

More details later, but we're being balloted for IA.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Our branch has now informed us that London action has been put on hold due to the serious position at national level.Makes sense i suppose.

I knew this was going happen 2-3 yrs ago. At some point Al & Adam were going to have to or be foprced to pick another big fight with frontline Ops. As I said in previous replies sticking together is your best bet, but you might actually be playing into the hands of TNT/DHL/Uk Mail by going on strike. Once a contract is lost it's much harder to win back. Whilst all mail is pretty much delivered by RM, TNT/DHL might decide to trial deliveries during that period. It's something to bear in mind and as I'm out of the industry I have nothing to gain accept my post not arriving!

What a difference a day of makes!!

We're on the vans from Tuesday, been brought forward a week.
Nights are now going then as well and there is no wait for the 30 day period.
We're the 1st office in the SE to have exec action put in.
Other SE's to follow this week and next, amongst other scattered around London.
The SE London ballot for IA is still going ahead,so we'll have two,not sure how that works.
We've also got a meeting with our area rep and others outside the gate tomorrow.

Dom called a meeting just to have a chat and let us know the score about cutting off ect.
In all fairness he was ok bout whats going on and i think he's as pissed off as us as his boss has implemented the stuff.
Whether he's still ok after a few days is another matter.

Funny moment of the meeting........

He's bringing in an extra van to cope cause he knows there aint enough and there's not enough pouch boxs  :d'oh!
Obviously he got caned for that, but in all fairness again he did say it sheepishly!!

Got a mass meeting out of hours with other local DO's on Fri 11th,should be interesting.

London Div rep was at the gate giving us bits of info.
Seems the SE ballot is going ahead because of different things regarding the National one or summin like that.
But the rest of the SE will be with us soon as Exec Action is being put in at a few offices in the next week or so.
And a big knob came (love to name the slimey c***)down to try and get me rep to do a deal,me rep told him to shove it. :nana
Luv it!!
