Are you allowed to come in on your day off/work over your time to help a fellow workmate?

or do you have to keep quiet and either meet ya friend out on his walk and help him or after you done your round then go finish his off?

If the DOM finds out, what can they do??

It's also known as 'ghosting', a practice the hated Adam Crozier was ridiculed for when he said it does go on.

Your DOM is dim if he allowed people to do this. He's in effect sanctioned people being paid twice for the same work, a practice known in legal circles as FRAUD :so there
In our office it is known as 'Operational needs'!

Just let the screws know what is happening.

There is a cover register or whatever it's called which is what ebbzie is talking about, but if your mates are trustworthy you shouldn't need it.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
