Is Royal Mail as poor as they say ????

At WTL (or should I say propaganda sessions ) RM keeps telling us that they are skint....How can they be so skint when we have only lost less than 4% of the mail to the competition, even though we still get paid for the final mile (50% of the cost).

4% ! thats 1/25 th of the mail.....but we have lost 40,000 postmen over the last 3 years---THATS ABOUT 20% (1/5 th of the workforce )---thats 40,000 less wages RM has had to pay---40,000 less pension conts. to pay out------40,000 less NI conts. to pay out....etc.

This, on top of the numerous local / national savings that we have made, BUT HAVEN'T BEEN PAID FOR !

RM are fiddling the figures so that they can push throught the changes our two leaders--HINGE & BRACKET want.....Then they'll leave....with smiles and bags of cash !

They're full of s**t,it seems to change when it suits them.
When we originally allegedly made all them losses a few years back the union pointed out the book keeping scam then wallop everythings ok then wallop again it's all pair shaped.
We get the bulk of the DSA money and like Mr. Auburger said we've lost loads of staff ect so where's it all going,and we have the VAT exempt thing as well.
It's a scam at the highest level and the Gov are behind it as well,and we're not getting any support from anyone.

RM arent skint this company had used to run on 10% of its profits because the gov had used to take 90% and while they were doing that they still took a pension holiday for 13 years, what it is, is that the money they make as profit they want to buy machines to reduce the workforce, ive noticed that Leighton and Crozier never blame the gov for the situation that RM are in not even when they sat in front of a gov select commitee, its like they were frightened to even mention it even when certain MPs pressed them to blame the gov. Ive said many times on this site that we should be a public service and not a profit making organisation, because once it becomes a profit making issue, no ammount of profit is ever enough, it always has to be more, and customers and staff are the big losers.
