I wondered about this but didn't dare ask the question for appearing foolish. I thought I must have misunderstood.
The only thing you hear on the IPS (especially the flats) is thud thud thud as the mail hits the back of the frame.
If you take the back away........
And given that mail comes in different shapes and sizes, you frequently have to tilt the mail to prevent it falling out the front.
If you take the back away........
There is a silly little bungee cord thing that runs down the back that is supposed to stop the mail from going straight through and guess what? it doesn't

It would be funny if you were joking, but you're not are you?

Subject: Indoor Flow Improvement Process

Dear All

We now have a draft agreement with Royal Mail regarding the above mentioned flow process which is now subject to PEC approval. A special PEC meeting has been cleared with the PEC Chair and will take place on Tuesday 25th October at 11:30 in conference room 1. It will then be my intention to communicate the agreement that afternoon if it is agreed by the PEC.

Thank you for your patience and support over the last few weeks.

Any live trials taking place. I hope so , people who don't do the job and making decisions for those that do, does not always inspire me.

How can the bungee cord thing fail?

I can see trouble when some of my, lets say, playful members decide to pull and let go of said bungees like a great elastic band,
resulting in the removal of skin and possibly eyes etc

If you want a real laugh the original version of these frames in Burgess had little perspex doors at the back 'held' with magnets. :Very Happy
