Ok, a couple of things I'd like to address about this:
1) Please stop all the personal comments, it's not helping the debate, and lowers the tone.
2) If bringon4dayweeks had asked that question in 2007, it would have been a valid one. But as RM haven't complained as yet, I think it's safe to assume that we're allowed to use the name Royal Mail Chat. Let's face it: We've caused them a lot of problems over the time we've been here. So if they could have caused us any trouble over the name, they'd have done so quite some time ago. Also, the name Royal Mail isn't (as far as I'm aware) a Trade Mark. Although the sign that disheartened quoted IS.

Besides. How else could we show people that this is a site to discuss RM, if we didn't include it somewhere in the name? :hmmmm

Nob = a rich person whose family has been important for a long time
thats a snob
A snob is someone who believes that some people are inherently inferior to him or her for any one of a variety of reasons, including real or supposed reasons. Not always to do with wealth or family importance. :whistle Just thought id clear that up.
