It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The Doc Martens 7 hole boots were the safest - good cushioning and plenty of ankle support if you placed a foot wrongly - worth the month of wearing in, by which time they felt like slippers. The latest boots have had inconsistent sizing and I have given up trying to get some that fit properly - now just using the basic shoe which isn't too bad with supports in.

We shouldn't have to supply our own kit for the job and I often feel that decisions are made on budget rather than quality requirements. If we are well protected and supported by quality kit then it stands to reason that we are happier doing the job and just as importantly, less prone to accidents and illnesses for which WE are the ones who are most likely to be persecuted !!!

Wore my new shoes today and to be quite truthful they were brilliant. No blisters or rubbing and my feet and legs don't ache as much. I have wide feet and these were certainly that.Haven't wore them yet when its raining so i can't comment on whether their waterproof or not.Not sure if they will withstand the assault course we all have to do everyday but only time will tell i suppose.
Has anybody else tried the new shoes made by MAGNUM and what are your thoughts? :nana
