A very good source has told me that a deal has been reached, and that it's a good agreement.
It will all be announced on Monday,no details at the mo.
Sorry guys
Will try and get more for you.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

lets hope it is a good deal and that we are told about it before the press
still think were on course for a way forward 2 type deal, especially on door to door payments and later starts two big issues which i cannot see posties getting a good deal on but lets stay positive and see what happens on monday
I have no doubt you are sincere, you are of course admin and would not discredit the site with hearsay, but is it a good source and why do we have to wait till Monday.
Have the powers to be got a golf match arranged for Sunday then and felt they needed to tidy things up by then
I understand about the Mon bit which is strange, but the guy who told me knows someone from the PEC.
My guys a top dude,i have no reason to disbelieve him,he's sent it knowing i'd put it up.
But the Mon thing is a bit strange, but then again, are we supposed to know a deal has been done, technically it's been leaked.

My deepest apologies I forgot that - . It is also a demand/aspiration that should be met in this round of pay deals. But would it be a striking point for everyone else.

I'm not bothered if we are called to strike over it. it's as bad as saying a different delivery office should be paid more or less - they are our colleagues and should be on the same rate of pay as the rest of us. FIRST CLASS WORK DESERVES FIRST CLASS PAY.

Hopefully they have had the foresight to discuss and bring it to a conclusion, instead of balloting mdec staff later in the year, I for one would have to consider wether I take part in further i/a because of the attitude of some staff towards this i/a but would support i/a in favour of their pay. ( self-centred comes to mind )

Hmmm, well I am mindful of the comments made already, but, I (personally) believe:
1. That we should trust what POSTMAN says.
2. That we should have patience - we have waited for this for months, couple more days should not make that much difference.
3. Whatever the agreement is I KNOW that the CWU negotiators will have, and will continue to have, the BEST interests of the MEMBERSHIP at heart.
GOOD LUCK TO US ALL AND HAVE FAITH
It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.
