Re: Actually getting paid for overtime
"Today’s workplace has become heartless and soulless. Employees are seen as units of labour, automatons, functionaries, objects for achieving designated tasks, and as costs to be minimised."

Awesome I think. While they're traveling to this office it comes out of their duty time. No starting early to make good any time lost. It makes the walk they had planned a little, shall we say, shorter? Also, they have to get him/her there too so make sure they walk through their door at your BASE delivery office bang on time and then request a lift or vehicle to get you to wherever they desire (also making sure that any traveling time back also comes out of their time). You should be going home at your off time from your BASE unit; not theirs.thechemisyshop wrote:after i kicked off about this it was suddenly decided i wasnt sorting fast enough or was taking too long in the toilet or was watched like a hawk to see if i nipped out for a smoke -etc etc ...

Re: Actually getting paid for overtime
When the d2ds were introduced into the daily workload,(without payment) this was supposed to safeguard any drop in normal mail and thus compensating for any reduction in FT jobs and delivery spans. Yeah right...think the managers need to be reminded of this fact
