Part time Xmas staff:Angard
How comlpex it is to apply for a temp job with Royal Mail. After all the form filling, registering, logging in etc, you are invited for interview, but on logging in you find there ARE NO SLOTS for interviews. What a waste of time. No phone number for Angard, so you can't discuss anything with them, perhaps I'll just stay unemployed, it's easier !!!

Re: Part time Xmas staff
Did you receive a conformation email from them of sorts, email them back using that.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Part time Xmas staff
The email inviting me to interview cannot be replied to. It would appear applicants CANNOT contact Angard by phone or email. It also appears now that my invitation for interview has been withdrawn, as my on-line status has reverted to 'Application received'. What a farce !!

Re: Part time Xmas staff:Angard
Absolutely. This has been my experience too. I did though manage to register and I've even had a couple of text telling me to look out for an email inviting me to interview. This has never arrived. I've even had a reminder text. I've tried at length to find a contact number for Angard so ask them when my interview is but I can't make contact.Raybranch wrote:How comlpex it is to apply for a temp job with Royal Mail. Not one to give up, I've rung up the Job Centre but they don't know. I was promised someone would call me back but they never have. Now, they are not even answering their phone.
This is a very poor experience Angard. If you are going to use technology, get it right. How you can hold down a job, and I can't get a part time casual one is beyond belief.

Re: Part time Xmas staff:Angard
I have applied for the above and have received several text messages asking me to login to confirm interview but have never received an email so have been unable to login. Having previously worked for Royal Mail at Christmas I find this very disturbing that text messages are sent out but there is no way of contacting anyone.

Re: Part time Xmas staff:Angard
Similar experience here. I applied for Christmas work as I was under the impression that even though I was on Angards books as a casual by applying for specific work in my area would guarantee some much needed work at Christmas. However the online site is really bad and even though I managed to log in I was forced to take an online sorting test
before I could proceed further. My status currently states "Test Completed" Welcome to Royal Mail
As a general query can anyone enlighten me on how the MC's are doing on nights at the moment? Has all the work dried up? I was only asking as I was rather busy all year getting 2 / 3 nights a week on average since January and I have only had on night shift since 11th Sept.

Re: Part time Xmas staff:Angard
Seems the lack of work is due to Angard.MC's will need loads of extra staff.

It still says 'application received' after a few weeks I'd rather get rejected than keep waiting as there may be another Xmas job I can take.
