A SERIOUS crash in Boston has caused havoc today (Tuesday).

Police are attending the scene of the collision in which a man, believed to aged in his late thirties and from the Peterborough area, has sustained serious injuries.

The accident happened at around 6.45am this morning, on John Adams Way and involved two vehicles, an orange Scania articulated lorry and a Royal Mail red box van.

The two vehicles are believed to have been travelling in the same direction when they collided, trapping the driver of the Royal Mail van.
He was cut free by Fire and Rescue crews and taken by ambulance to Boston's Pilgrim Hospital with abdominal injuries that are described as serious.
The driver of the Scania lorry is believed to be uninjured as a result of the collision.
The road remains blocked, but a contraflow is in place. The road is likely to remain closed for several hours whilst collision investigation officers examine the scene.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision.

Anyone with information should call Lincolnshire Police Witness Hotline on 01522 558855.

Good luck and best wishes to our fellow worker. I am sure we all hope for a speedy recovery.

It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.
