Maybe someone's thrown you a line and you've swallowed it and as for being on the sidelines - I do work in a DO, not an MC. I would love to see a typical workplan - that's the sort of thing we have in DOs. Have you ever been up close to a planner and Georoute? What a wonderful blueprint that would be for WCM.labbloke wrote:Try and read all the thread dv, and by the way its so simple to check it out, and thats byt ringing up the union office in Wolverhampton.dvbuk55 wrote:If it looks like sh*t, smells like sh*t then it is sh*t.
The statistics simply do not add up.
Having seen two revisions at close quarters there is no way those figures are correct. Full timers after a D&M and Indoor Revision would be on a minimum 39 hour week, not 36.
That way you can have all the facts to hand rather than sniping from the sidelines with no local knowledge.

Wow what a pompous attitude, how the hell do you know what goes on in Wolverhampton.dvbuk55 wrote:Maybe someone's thrown you a line and you've swallowed it and as for being on the sidelines - I do work in a DO, not an MC. FYI, Wolverhampton Do and MC are in the same building with the same CWU office, same canteen and even a shared smoking shelter and even would you believe same friends in the same building.
Instead of carping on how wrong you think I am , do yourself a favour and take me up on my suggestion and ring the CWU office in the same building, if you cant be bothered then you may just have an alterior motive to carp and be a naysayer from the sidelines.

LOL just talk, well yes thats probably because we are on a FORUM.dvbuk55 wrote:Georoute, workplan, confirmation - just talk?
Not really bothered if you dont believe it DV, only report what I can see happening since revision started on the 19th Sept.
An abscence of any scare stories in the local rags perhaps points to something you dont wish to recognise.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Yes it is correct about wolverhampton CWU, Mail Centre and sorting office in one place. I work there for a month in the past (old office) and I can't tell what it is like as I don't work there. I work about 8 miles away.

Why not get them to give me a ring? Or one of the many delivery posties from Wolverhampton - who seem to be conspicuous by their absence on the forum - probably got too much free time nowadayslabbloke wrote:Ooh much too hard for somedvbuk55 wrote:Well that would certainly save us ringing Wolverhampton CWUPOSTMAN wrote:Lab,any chance you could get some of the DO peeps on.

10k eh - and only 65 who knows what score I can reach by the time I'm 90 - looks like it's going to take that long to get confirmation from Wolverhampton of those wondrous results from georoute and the planners.labbloke wrote:LOL so says the man with over 10,000 contributions to this forum, font of all knowledge eh,dvbuk55 wrote:Why not get them to give me a ring? Well blow me, I thought you were a postie, with recent day to day experience, no wonder you have time to post on every subject so prodigously, your an OAP with nowt else to do, LOL only joking bro.
Cant help it that there are no Wolvo posties on this site, perhaps goes to show me that perhaps we (RMchat users) are not as representative as we think.
But my statement on the employment status of nearly 250 posties still stands.

Re: Wolverhampton to Go 100% Full time
I always try and encourage any Posties I know, or meet, to check out this site lab. however you'd be amazed at how many are happy with their lot and many only try this site when they've got a problem. I'll hold my hands up, I was quite happy working away in a "Good" DO for many years until I moved to a "Bad" one......1500 offices = 1500 different local agreements!

Re: Wolverhampton to Go 100% Full time
Um not really . without official verification or independent sources all it is ,is hearsay . Like most of the stuff that appears, but some stuff is more believable than other stuff simply because it fits the pattern and doesn't buck all trends. Oddities tend to stand out and attract attentionlabbloke wrote:Well blow me, I thought you were a postie, with recent day to day experience, no wonder you have time to post on every subject so prodigously, your an OAP with nowt else to do, LOL only joking bro.

Fine I appreciate it is only I with this snippet but perhaps others within the wolverhampton and district area will have heard of wolvos revision start on the 19th Sept.
