Every Saturday I put all of the D2D boxes on every frame and print off the Walk Control sheet for every walk and put it with them. Every duty SHOULD return those sheets to the RLE by the following Saturday with any returns and a reason why there are any overs.

So much for the theory. :hmmmm

The reality is:

Bundles of D2D’s dumped on the missort frame.
Bundles of D2D’s dumped under the walkers frame.
Bundles of D2D’s dumped anywhere.

About half of the Walk Control sheets are returned and some of them have even been completed!

I am returning quite a number of trays to the Mail Centre on a Monday.

The DOM has said he must monitor this.

The only logical end game will be lost jobs.
Whether it is those who take the piss with D2D or just a random selection of us when we lose the contracts will be mainly down to how management deal with it.
If there are any management lurking on this thread....is it too much like hard work? :cuppa

Management don't care, they are only interested in the budget (and their bonuses) so if dumping D2Ds helps them then they'll do it. It's really up to us posties to do them and if necessary cut off/leave behind excess work.

I still think this will fall on deaf ears because people just don't want to do the work.

To put it bluntly DG,,if people don't want to do the work they should f**k off now and stop screwing up the job for those that do.
They can watch all the Jeremy Kyle they want on the dole. :wave

True.

I personally have never seen Jeremy Kyle (on at the same time as Homes Under the Hammer  ) but I think anyone watching it must have serious mental issues..............................which is why they don't like doing D2Ds.

I'm still flummuxed with this D2D bollox,unbelievable.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Some people really are their own worst enemy.

2 where suspended in a nearby office last week, we've lost a couple for not doing them (and a few saved by the skill of the rep/management mistakes), all to save 20/30 minutes a day of RMs time

Hey,i sometimes watch JK,only when i'm feeling a little low and need cheering up about my own life though.

I seriously think doctors should be prescribing episodes of it as treatment for depression............i mean,if watching the nuggets on that doesn't give you a warm glow of satisfaction about your own contribution to society then nothing will! :nana

in our DO they seem to hide D2D's then feed them back out in another week
you know how you get to know what sectors have the same as you and suddenly the pattern doesnt seem to stand
I cant prove it of course but well i just know :shhhhh
Unless they remove the label on the box, or from across the banding, then its quite easy to prove. The labels always have contract number, due date, duty and amount on them.

DIMs put them out on a saturday
so who would know

Your managers must be taking the labels off (which seems like a lot of effort) as every D2D contract should have a label either on the cardboard box that they come in, or if they are banded together with straps then on the top D2D.

The white labels as said before should have the following details

1. Contract No - eg HN41154465
2. Due Date - 26-Sep-11
3. Duty Number. Walk 29E
4. Number in Bundle 500
5. if more than 1 bundle/box then a note indicating this EG 1 of 6

I would ask questions if you don't have these details - for instance without knowing how many specific D2Ds you have for a contract how do you know if its every DP or just residential.
they take them out of the boxes and put them on the top of the frames(gets on my tits that)
we also seem to get loads of mixed walk boxes nowadays
