Lincolnshire villagers petition for postwoman's return

Almost 350 Lincolnshire villagers who have lost their postwoman to a nearby area have signed a petition pleading for her return.

Campaigner Stuart Rogerson said she was "part of our community" and the "eyes and ears of the village".

Dunston's new postman is from Bracebridge Heath, the area where their former postwoman now works.

In a Royal Mail statement spokesperson Marie Gray said: "As part of the changes we are making to Royal Mail services in the Lincoln area, some customers may notice that a different postman or woman will deliver their mail.

"There have been no job losses as a result of the changes."
