Signing for a new job

Hiya wondering if anybody knows if when you sign for a job,is it the takedown date what is the start of your year on that job,or is it when they start you on the job?
As i have just signed for a new job at work and they are still trying to work out if i been on my old job for a year or not.but im pretty sure i have but if i havent i had defently signed for it over a year ago cause i remember it took them ages to get me on my new job.

I would say that they will make the start date the day you start your new job. At your old job didnt you orginially start with a date so if they look at your profile / info would they be able to find this first ever start date and work out the year from that?

But as it took you a while to start this first job someone probaly meant to right the start date down and never did so that maybe the reason why they cant work out the year?

Can you understand that? Cuz I wonder if I can understand it!

Far as im concerned it should be from the date of the list was taken down.....

It shouldnt be your fault that RM never put u in the duty... Unless it was because of you causing the duty to not be covered then they might have a case... But its a reason of dates and why you need to know???
