CASUAL XMAS STAFF

Hi all ,,,wondered if any of you chaps can help me,, ive applied for one of the xmas casual staff jobs (angard staffing) back in late august /first week in september...ive completed the parts 1 and 2 tests and had the over the phone interview which i was told i had a position as long as i come to face to face interview....my status on the royal mail web site says INTERVIEW ATTENDED...can any of you chaps please tell how long they will take to get back to me ......if at all?.......ps what would be the best positions to go for ...ie mail sorter or delivery person in the faintess hope of getting a bit more work after the xmas contract comes to an end.....thanks for any help you put my way.. :

The way the revisions are going we'll be delivering Xmas post well into January so i'd say delivery is the way to go if its length of employment as the most important aspect. Mind you i can see advantages in sorting mail indoors during a dark dismal freezing cold winter

I'm guessing you will have to have that then before going any further.Just a case of waiting for them to contact you again,or have you a contact num to get back to them,that might be worth a try.

It's quite likely that Xmas post will still being sorted well into January too, especially if we get snow in December again.
It is warmer in the Mail Centres, and you are more likely to be on late shifts rather than on early shift as in Deliveries.
But if you are looking for a more permanent job you are unlikely to get one in a Mail Centre as they are being closed and merged and staffing cut.

Well that depends on your preferences. Personally I don't like getting up early on a freezing cold winter morning, but some people prefer it to working late.
As to progressing to a more permanent job you will possibly stand more chance in Deliveries, but anything on offer is likely to be part-time and on a short term contract.

managed to get through to angard staffing.....they have a glitch on there computer dealing with staffing xmas jobs
