been trying to figure that one out myself. :hmmmm didn't think there was a budget for new full timers any more.
Cannot see our tight fisted dom replacing F/T with F/T,he'd rather reduce hours to gain his fat annual bonus at our expense.

:no no[/quote]

That was my second question "what's happening to the saved hours since 31/03/07" I got a hostile look and no response.

we've that many people prepping part timers deliveries in a morning there's hardly any one left to do all the sorting. it's a bloody disgrace.

If i were asked to prep 2 duties the work would never get done!!, but if you able to do it then the dum will leave you to it  best bet is to ask yourself how much harder your willing to work. at our office the delivery only duties are 25hr and do the tie job themselves.

It turns out it is a part-time job. 25 hours per week, 5 days per week.

I'm sure it said full-time, just last week.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
