Q24. If I sign up to use my car, but decide on some occasions not to use it, will I be instructed to use it or have disciplinary action taken against me?
A. No. You have volunteered to use your car and not doing so incurs no sanction. However, if you are unreliable and give no notice of when you will or won’t, or say you will and then don’t, Royal Mail will prevent you from using your car and require you to use official acceleration instead by withdrawing its insurance from you.

Another shambles of a day. Never known anything like it, undelivered mail stacked up everywhere, so many large parcels you can't move. I did'nt even bother clearing down my flats today or packet bag and small letters off the IPS are under my bench. Some of the guys along my aisle have at least 10 trays of flats stacked alongside their frames. I've heard a rumour that another DO in the county is turning mail away as they can't fit anymore in the building. Nice one RM P & L is a roaring success

Utterly ridiculous. We're pre P&L and I don't think it has a hope in hell of working in our office.

Packets are already going through the roof on my round, am struggling to finish on time now. Anyone else the same? Really not looking forward to Christmas this year

Another busy day. Not enough staff to do the things that need doing. On the IPS until after break time. People out late. Hammered with packets again. At least it stayed dry... just.

Very busy for me today too - a new route I'd not done before and my first time preping too. got it done though in the end Hope it stays dry for the rest of the week

Shitty, shitty day, pissed down, 2 hours over time and we left stuff. Planners are in to revise to the P&L's after admitting they're not working. Their answer? Make the duties bigger. Unbelievable.

Anyway in our place it's a bit of a park where you can situation. A space was free this morning so I used it. Got back and the van was blocking me in, despite the fact he could have parked in more than a dozen other places - I didn't have that option this morning. Well lets just say he'll have a bit of a search for his van in the morning...

Slightly easier today. Most of the packets were already done when I went in early (paid for), so we on top of it. Loads of hours still being thrown in to the IPS.
