They don't need phoning in if you have a pda.muzzy wrote:Thats fair enough

You shouldnt use personal items at work. Cars are banned on delivery so why use your mobile. RM should provide a pda so if they can adapt it for tweeting then so be it, but all this will do is slow the postie down as they will bee spending too much time doing it.muzzy wrote:You dont own a mobile? Wow, how do you phone in specials not delivered?fishtank wrote:Muzzy...without going into the flaws too much and there are one or two...they won't even give us a cheap basic mobile to phone the office with so wtf are we going to be tweeting/twittering/whatever on?
You can actually use twitter via text messages
Just let people get on with the damn job instead of trying to invent ways to make the service better.
Technology cant make this service better or easier (unless teleportation is invented anytime soon), but it can make it more expensive.

one very serious flaw in your genius plan muzzy, that is security, was the expression 'safeguarding the mail' ever bought up in your training? You after a job in management because keep coming up with bright ideas like that and you'd be a DOM in no time
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet

Where's the security issue regarding safeguarding the mail?
And yes I've been a manager in the past as well as a MD of a small company.
I have no desires to go back into management, certainly not in a business where all the staff are so set in their ways and scared of any changes.

We aren't even supposed to use pda's on the go, but in muzzys world all posties can merrily tweet the day away. Health and safety are gonna love him.

Lol, if someone wanted to rob you they would know your movements from watching you daily or be an opportunistic thief.
