Men attempt to rob Aberdeen postman

Police hunt for group who attempted to rob postman of his mailbag on Bradley Terrace on Tuesday morning.

A group of men assaulted and attempted to rob a postman while he was delivering letters in Aberdeen.

The 29-year-old postman was attacked between 11am and 12noon on Tuesday on Bradley Terrace.

Grampian Police are keen to trace a group of men who were seen exiting a small, silver-coloured hatchback car with distinctive alloy wheels who may have been involved with the incident.

One of the men is described as being white, in his late 20s to early 30s and around 6ft 2in-6ft 3in in height with an Aberdeen accent. He was unshaven, of stocky build and had a “dirty, tanned complexion".

He was wearing a light grey, zipped hooded top, and light grey tracksuit bottoms.

A second man was described as white, in his 20s, around 5ft 9in to 5ft 10in in height, of slim build with short, light brown hair. He was wearing a black and grey horizontal striped sweatshirt.
