Did a bit of hoovering and cleaned both toilets.
Still got the ironing for the week ahead to do.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: sunday working
Not worked a day off since we had a our revision last February apart from a five hour IPS support one weekday morning just after the revision came in. Days off are priceless now when we are finishing later, particularly on saturdays as I doubt that anyone feels like doing much after a late afternoon finish. A sunday is definitely out of the question for me and if the need should arise at our office I don't see there being many, if any takers.
We have had two partial revisions, half in Feb and half in June - IPS struggles due to so many staff now prepping multiple walks - but the sequencing system works well and 5 or 6 of us go in an hour early to do flat and packet sorting on the busier days. We have no cut offs but occasional arranged culls where it is very obvious someone will go well over their time and these are always covered. No lapsing anymore either !

Re: sunday working
Are they offering double time for Sunday Working? If this company had to offer the going rate on OT..i.e. Time and a half...Double Time...etc. Then they might realise how much extra time is worked by posties!
When you're only paying about an extra pound an hour for OT it's no wonder you don't give a damn about how much OT is being booked....Although they do!
