Our team brief is never any less than 15 minutes usually longer.
Same old crap every week, but this week was a complete disgrace. 30 mins and basically threatened the office with all this 'we've got no money crap, we've had a meeting with our superiors' and that walks are going to be prep tested/mail counted/no overtime paid (im sure it's common place in most offices) as this is there pathetic excuse as to why hardly anybody can complete in time after the farce of a revision our office has had to endure.
What on earth can you do when they spout this crap. Refuse to go over and get conduct coded or work for free and make them happy? We've had long serving, hard working staff unable to complete, some are close to breaking point, and what backup do we have? NONE.

Re: TEAM BRIEF DEPRESSING?
Does anyone notice that those that work to their time are getting all the stick and being threatened with different changes, whereas those that complete, charge overtime and it is paid without any fuss, or challenge?

Re: TEAM BRIEF DEPRESSING?
I agree that the amount of stick directed at people (legitimately) cutting off is wrong. But the way you've phrased it makes it seem you have an issue with people getting paid OT for completing?Lincox wrote:Does anyone notice that those that work to their time are getting all the stick and being threatened with different changes, whereas those that complete, charge overtime and it is paid without any fuss, or challenge?

Re: TEAM BRIEF DEPRESSING?
No Charles, I dont have an issue at all with people being paid legitimate overtime and I am sorry if you have read it that way. My argument is that those that work to their duty time are being accused of making time, whereas those working overtime and making time on other days, the same as those that work to their time, do not get challenged about the time they make.

Re: TEAM BRIEF DEPRESSING?
It's amazing how managers choose not to grasp the fact that there's different workloads on different days and instead insist that it's down to postmen/women trying to pull a fast one.
