This morning I've prepped 3 deliveries that arn't going out and put mail from yesterday back in the frame of others...all due to go out Monday...maybe. Why oh why is nothing done about this...why are IB/Auditors not doing surprise inspections? :no no
Totally agree with you the service is going down the crapper, the moral at our office is at an all time low, this week 2 full timers and 1 part timer have gone to pastures new (lucky Beggers) line managers trying to put pressure on people to collapse rounds even if they know they wont finish on time (Feckers) no wonder all the good will has gone. When i left our office to go home on sat there was mail and parcels all over the gaff, the place was a crap hole surely it can not go on like this!!! is any one upstairs BOTHERED?????????/ :arrrghhh
exactly what i thought on saturday! came back at 2.55 (i finish at 3), there was stuff everywhere, lots of fittings with 2/3 loops left in them, managers all out on delivery...

Got back just before 3pm. Half hour docket. Manager wasn't best pleased when I told her I'd be over. As most of you on delivery will know by now, it isn't just about trffic figures. The size of the walks in many cases means that they are now almost impossible to complete in time, even on quiet days. The introduction of HCTs, I think, has slowed the job down. :cuppa

Incredibly heavy for a Tuesday - did P&L with my nice little trolley. We booked 2 hours extended each. :chuckle There was also a good number of cutoffs around the office due to the school hols resuming and people having to pick their kids up.

No doubt a visit to the DIM's office in the morning while he tries to throw figures at us :Boo hoo! - If he has us in there more than 2 mins I'm cutting off :wave

Loads came in today, so much so that I had to leave over an hours worth of work :nana this must be the pressure starting again, if so then the DOM will need to get some more walking shoes because he's going to do an awful lot of deliveries :chuckle :chuckle

We've been hammered all week. Good job mail's down or we wouldn't be able to cope ... today was probably the busiest day I've seen since starting. Aided not at all by the general uselessness of the WSMs, and the ridiculous amount of IPS that now has to be done as a consequence. We're struggling with the indoor workload since WS, and we haven't even had our revision yet. One hour is supposed to be enough to throw out a walk now ... but it's a very close thing.

Glad its not just my office then :Very Happy

Bloody awful week with overweight mags (Screwfix, Wicks, Saga, Cottages 4 u, Cruises & hols etc) real bulky stuff which wont go in the frame. Been the worse week this year and extended every day so far. :d'oh!
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Can't wait for this week to be over. Not finished before 3.30 the last two days, cant see tomorrow being any different. Ah well, its all on the OT. Fell asleep at 6pm yesterday though... going to be knackered and rest all Sunday.

In addition, I've got 2 weeks off, for a Uni course that I told them about at interview so they've had to agree to it. :nana

That's been said by so many people in our office - unbelievable week considering we're only just into September. One thing I have noticed is that the amount of blokes in the office who are having a scruffy "too-bloody-tired-so-bollocks-to-shaving" week has shot up this week :chuckle 4 day stubble everywhere :chuckle

I don't really know why we're complaining about it being heavy, just leave what can't be done in the office for the manager to sort out :nana another 90 minutes left by me today (that's how long it would take someone to cover it not how long it would take me to deliver it), RM have made this mess themselves, if we have to work to our hours when it's light then they have to take off the extra when it's heavy. Now that the mail has picked up again it is really showing the duties out to be too long, I seriously doubt that management will do anything about it though..............to much to lose in bonuses  .

Got told today that this rise in traffic the last 2 weeks is a blip and we will back to our 'normal' decreasing mail volume next week. Code for.... the lapsing is here to stay buddy. Actually today was the lightest day so far this week. Finished at 1:15 (didn't do my lapse tho. he he he)
