Re: moving start times
I read up on this issue regarding start times in employment law - and for employers to change working times it has to be agreed by the majority of those affected.

Or executive action as per the unofficial strikes a few years back.nando wrote:I read up on this issue regarding start times in employment law - and for employers to change working times it has to be agreed by the majority of those affected.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: moving start times
in our office they want to move the start time 1 hour from 6.45 to 7.45 because the manager has pissed to many staff off so no is willing to work overtime,so to bully us into forced overtime they are threatining to moving the start times with 2 days notice. this can not be right?

We did agree to it...in BT2010.nando wrote:I read up on this issue regarding start times in employment law - and for employers to change working times it has to be agreed by the majority of those affected.
What we didn't agree to was letting them change our attendance times just to suit their arrival times and their workplans.all employees will need to recognise that in order to provide innovative attendance patterns and duty structures they will need to embrace change which may mean an alteration to attendance times.
It was supposed to be the other way around.
I take it the Hawks have won. That mail arrivals are consistent with the transformation workplan and support and enable the attendance patterns and duty structures contained in the functional sections of this agreement to be delivered at local level.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share
