Dogs v. Posties

There used to be a vicious old Boxer dog on my round. He lived at the end of a long drive with a gate. There was a post box outside where I used to leave the mail. Occasionally the owners forgot to close the gate and left the dog out. It would spot me as I was parking my bike, and begin padding in my direction, head down, growling, until it got close enough to launch itself at me.

The law need changing. Ideal with death penalty for both dog and owner :)

I was told in my office that they have a 'doggy taser' but cant find any one they trust to take it out. I'm on a rural at the moment and have a fair few dogs i'd like to use it on! If posties were issued them and used them, would people report us to the RSPCA?

Done a search on the site regarding the taser thing,couldn't find anything but i'm sure we've talked about them before.

While i was looking i found the below,how naive was I in 2007. :oops: :nervous

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Perhaps where the expression ' hard-bitten ' comes from Postman :wink:
