Rubbish, I served in the Royal Navy and the stormproof gear you get on ships keeps you bone dry, made from goretex, and lined, also the steaming boots keep your feet dry as well, all of it is designed to keep out a force 9 gale, RM stuff would survive in that.
The jackets have groin straps to keep them down, and the over trousers have shoulder braces, plus they fit properly

The biggest omission for me in the new uniform is a pair or two of quality winter gloves that will keep our hands warm and dry during the bitter winter months, especially for those depots on the revised longer outdoor duties. We appear to either have to choose between wearing our own gloves that keep our hands warm but are a nightmare to filter through the mail bundles, or we have numb cold hands that in theory can filter addresses quicker.

You should be able to get some fingerless gloves from your office, they have been available for years? :hmmmm

I was given a pair of innovative gloves last Xmas as a present, which had gaps for thumb/index/middle finger tips to be exposed, they worked pretty well. However, delivering the mail in bitter cold has been part of the job for years, so why are we accepting those pittiful fingerless things in this modern age, which are about as useful as a chocolate teapot?

its already built into our tax code for working with royal mail, but if it isnt its very easy to claim, just call the tax office and ask for a r85 form fill it in send it and your p60 away and thats all you need to do, no point getting another company to do something so simple and get part of your cash!

The over trousers seem to be "one size fits all" and being only 5'7" I find they keep my shoes drier than they do my legs. I'm just waiting to see just how warm the fleece isn't when it gets cold.
just buy a can of waterproofing spray from any hiking shop?
