It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Having looked at the Branch breakdowns for the PEC Election interesting to see that newly elected Tony Bouch's Branch delivered the highest turnout with 26.26%!!

Re: Branches voting break down LTB...
The turn out overall was piss poor at 11.36%.
Obviously, the Union will blame the members and not accept that 89% of the membership did not want to vote for any of the candidates they were offered.
The most unimpressed branches:
1st Prize goes to Jersey Branch with a 1.57% turnout.
These guys were so unimpressed with the candidates that, out of 254 members, only 4 bothered to vote. The candidates couldn't even persuade all of the Branch Committee to vote. Nice one, Jersey. We salute you.

2nd Prize goes to East Midlands MT Branch with a 3.06% turnout.
Out of 98 members, only 3 bothered to vote.
3rd Prize goes to Isle of Man Branch with 3.41% turnout.
This is particularly impressive as HQ recently sent one its top bods to the island who managed to call off a strike. Did they get a good deal? The poor turnout suggests they weren't that impressed.
Even the NEC candidate with the most votes, Phil Browne, only received 6020 votes out of a possible 125235. That is only 4.8%.
Piss poor.
