also that he was going to come out with me to test me, they said he cannot do that and they would contact me this morning and come in to tell him he could not do it, alas this never happened and Dom did come out with me on delivery.
First it was extemely heavy, had letters for every house and announcement from dom was to take where you was going, so me thinking he would not come out left some in the frame on the road that he was going to follow me over(which is quite long). just before I left the office he said are you doing ********** rd first, I said no it will be done last, so he asked me when I would be there so i said meet me at the previous Road before hand around 12 midday, which is about 3 mins away on cycle.
At 11.50 he found me lucky I was walking with bag on my back with cycle locked up by Hct, and still had one road to do, before the road which he was going to follow me, so i said to him meet me in it.
I turned up at 12.10, Locked bike up had abag full off D/L which I put on my back and then tried to put the bag of mail on also .so he said why was I doing that , my reply was security cannot leave it in panniers , so he said I will take it and put in in my car(Private), so i said what would have happened if you was not here I would have had to carry it, you could not make it up,
So off I went in a loop and with bag on back turned a corner by a brick pillar and knocked a loose brick Off
then i knocked on the door as the owner had a packet and got in a muddle and could not get the packet out of my bag
I got half way down the road to my next bag pick up which is my house inside, and said to him just going to the loo, and it had been raining most of the morning so took off water proof bottoms and jacket and this took me 4 mins, when i came out parked cycle up and off I went with last bag, and said to him that is how long it usually takes me (just thought i would say it) a few folks kept asking me if I had a nice holiday
.Some one came out of there house with a letter saying it was not there's and they had a few last week, just said I was on leave and they said I know did you have a good time, this all going on in front of dom
.at one point I have to go into another road to deliver to two houses and he said I did not realize those houses where there( funny i though as he was meant to have tested the walk just before our revision came in
While I was still delivering another postie went past in there car but he never noticed.
Last letter I delivered was 1.45 and this road took me 1hr 35 mins and they have being saying it is suppose to take max 1hr, now if I had to take back D/L I would have got back to office at 2pm which would have been 45 mins over.
It could not have gone better because this is what I have been telling him for the last 5 months but I bet he says I went slow but I know I kept up a reasonable pace and still left a few houses out
I have another prep test end of the week but he never mentioned how I got on with mondays test.
My back is really sore and legs hurt but I never said anything to him though.
must admit was really nervous when he first was walking with me and did get in a muddle sometimes but got into my stride soon.
he said he was only seeing how many houses I missed out
Yeah right that is why he has been baging on about me being slow, just go too wait till the morning,Btw he kept getting calls and txts so i said you are a popular guy and he said that he was too go over too another office because they are in mess, I nearly said lets hope we don't get the same planner, thought better of it.
