South West Review
Any one know about the outcome of the South West Review of mail centres. It should be reaching a decision about now as to which mail centres will be closing or being built. South West includes mail centres in Truro, Plymouth, Exeter, Bristol, Dorset(Bournemouth), Southampton and Portsmouth, as well as Gloucester also possibly being linked to this. Every other region has had this review already, but this one seems to drag on as they cannot make up their minds. I wonder if we did not get the £1400 shares money because of the cost of changes to original plans in this region. Moya Greene seems to have lost steam fearing the junior managers power, and now also the South West mail centre problem.

Re: South West Review
Has an official review been announced? Gloucester is in the Thames Valley region so would be separate. Also included is South Wales ie Cardiff and Swansea. Safe are Bristol, Exeter, Cardiff, Southampton and Dorset. Gloucester likely to go into Thames Valley as was previously proposed in 2006.

Re: South West Review
Portsmouth likely to close as it is splt over a number of floors and it can't handle double stacker artics, as for the rest in the South West region it's anyone's guess. If PO closes then SO MC would have to take over the IOW

Re: South West Review
How the hell can RM justify that Gloucester is in the thames valley its just NOT it is SOUTHWEST which is why all the other postal companys process Gloucester mail at avonmonth i.e UK Mail, TNT, Business Post. . Anyway been to swindon a couple of times and there is no way the MC would cope with GL mail its just madness in that place, mail everywhere you look, and you have to be on your gaurd so you get smacked by one of the hundreds of yorks being moved around, nearly got hit about 5 times in 10mins. Any normal business would see that you cannot put three counties the size of Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire into one processing unit.
