We have to wear new trousers, (cos old ones disintegrated,and we havent had revision yet, and were told no new kit until revision.!!) with old jackets.
its already built into our tax code for working with royal mail, but if it isnt its very easy to claim, just call the tax office and ask for a r85 form fill it in send it and your p60 away and thats all you need to do, no point getting another company to do something so simple and get part of your cash!
Uniform?....Do you have to wear it? Saw my Postie this morning walking up the road, Delivering, with some Red Football T-Shirt on and a pair of jeans! Mind you he was wearing RM Trainers! Christ knows whats happening in my local office it's gone Native! Don't ask where the Manager is....he doesn't normally turn up until everyone's out on their deliveries, just so he can have some "Quiet" time on the Computer. Minimum attendance for maximum pay! What a company.

I still wear the old uniform.......the grey trousers are too big/baggy because I ordered the same size I've got for the blue trousers which are 2 sizes larger than anything else I own. I hate the red fleece, I washed it and then bunged it in the dryer, made the smoke alarm go off....so I wear my Harrington. I've got the red polo shirts but prefer to wear the blue shirts this time of year.
