In Distribution/processing it's divide and rule , why do you think the 2003 ballot failed ?- the workforce was too divided - too many FT people wanted to stitch all the docket up -greedy soulless places -exactly what RM wanted and they were spoiling for a fight in 2003 , still a lot of bad feeling left over from then with RM Senior/Area Mgt . London and the SE saved this union in 2003 .

With the support of offices in many other parts of the country who refused to accept the work
transferred there from London and the South East, and walked out in support.

We were told that Leighton & Crozier finally agreed to negotiate when the CWU Branches in
Scotland decided to call on their members to strike in support of London. :Applause :Applause :Applause

There was quotes from McCarthy _"We don't wish to decrecognize the union "-translated it means we want a sweetheart union or a glorified staff association -that's textbook Unitarian Mgt i.e. no collective bargaining, give up the strike weapon , individual agreements , no political objectives , trade society benefits like cheap loans , shares -stock market advice , the union would do legal advice , welfare benefits , team working , leadership not power , deal with troublemakers and deviants , harsher discipline , ignorance is overcome by training and "good" communications .Hence the bombardment with Propoganda by RM's Smiling Assasins . Why do you think reps/activists were stitched up on the most flimsy , spurious and flawed grounds ? afterwards ? , this carried on for another year , RM would make it "look straight " by saying "with the CWU" , but that's only to cover thier sorry A**** in Court on paper . :nana :nana :nana :nana

......... London and the SE saved this union in 2003 .

My office is quite famous in all this although i was not there at the time, happened before i transferred in.
Can't mention where, but needless to say,we caused some major s**t during all that,AND we got a payment from HQ cause of it all.

Burslem of the south guys :dance
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
