Well Said!don't fall for the line where they say you are a reserve you are still entitled to equal treatment or you are well within your rights to put in a grievance.

Re: Reserves and their days off
Lazy reps, lazy managers, lazy colleagues on fixed duties and rolling days off that don't give a f**k.
Bout time you reserves got together ffs and got it sorted!
Reserve seniority list, aggregate list of who has had what days off so when a sat comes up the one with the less sats off gets the latest one,AND whatever duty you cover you get their day off not a tuesday!
Should take bout 10 mins to sort out.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Need reserves trained upon more duties at my place. Formal request has been made to management. Flexibility agreement is clear that being asked to undertake other work too often is not allowed.

Re: Reserves and their days off
Is there anything in any of the agreements about reserves and their days off?
Spoke to DOM this morning, rep has agreed due to absorbing more on a monday and a tuesday that reserves will more often than not get these days off!!!
They can f*** right off, I want my 1 in 6 saturdays at least, and I also want my 1 in 6 monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday and friday, every other f***er gets that privilege so why not reserves.....it's a f***in joke!
No extra pay for being a reserve, we hold the office together and get shat on left, right and centre!
I feel a bit of stress coming on!

Re: Reserves and their days off
Oh and best i point out,it's very very hard for reserves to get rolling days off as it depends on who's off in any given week.
It can't be perfect, but their lives could be made easier.
