They shouldve supported the ballot when they had the chance, instead most of them cheered when they got a no vote.

I don't see how you can criticize others for not supporting their colleagues and simultaneously gloat over some of those colleagues losing jobs. Those that you're gloating about include people who voted Yes (but were outvoted in a democratic ballot). Likewise, there are people at your office who will have voted No, even if they tell you differently. That's what ballots are

I bloody well cheered when my old office relocated. It was a total dump not fit for anything. But you're right, not good when a office/mc/whatever closes for good.

This is indeed odd.
A fair few years ago now (at least 5 or 6 years ago) I, along with everyone in my office was asked to bring proof of my right to work.
At the time, I had to pay for a full birth certificate which at the time cost ME £25.00 just to prove I could in the UK.

Only last week, I was called into the office and asked once again to bring proof that I could work in the UK ????
I mentioned I had already done this, but no explanation was given, I was also told I could NOT use anything work related, as in, pay slip or P60.

I too used my passport and watched my supervisor taking a photo copy of it, which at the time was thinking "is this legal" ??
