Our office is starting final 2 ( of 3 ) post codes of P/L next week.
Our DOM knows it's not working in other offices, but in our team brief where told .IT WILL WORK .
You see in our office we piss in a different bucket from the rest of the UK so where told..
BTW our first part of the P/L started about 3-4 weeks back...guess what 'IT'S NOT WORKING'... work mate already doing it are pissed off / short tempered / " you just wait till it's your turn "..

looking fwd to next week like an hole in the head.

We're told that trolleys have to be used and obviously if you ignore a reasonable request from a manager then it's a conduct code issue. This is whats really adding to our outdoor duty time.

And quite right too! It is RMs proposal and part of the agreement that HCTs and LCTs are used to get the weight off the shoulder - so do it. Stick to your duty time and leave in anything you cannot reasonably complete - or more to the point ask the Line Manager what you should leave in - the onus is on him to get the balance right, not you.

well we are the test bed for the s**t rm bring out. So 1st for everything. new uniform/vans etc. heck we've been using vans for maybe 2years. Now most posties have had enough of rounds unachievable and other okay. We also have had loads of people walk tested and found too big. result, nothing. We brought up the point that people have not been using trolly's and we needed a ruling to our we ALL should operate. Result, You must use the trolly unless the route has hills/flats etc. Still people don't use them. All in our office is a disaster with mail being left in the mornings. Now we have another planner coming down. God forbid he'll wave the magic wand and sort it out.

Our revision has been kicked out for the 3rd time we have not saved enough money,so far i have been told that we are not financially viable or in English i did not save enough hours,500 hrs was muted around but if you ain't got those sort of hrs to save then it ain't gonna happen!this is the 3rd time i have had to listen to the fact that we have not done the job properly, so they then said that it would be on hold for the foreseeable,not once have they said that they have moved the goalpost or changed things we have just pointed it out what has changed every time! I am lucky i have a very good Area Rep that gets a bit in the teeth and wont let go upsets upper managers never cares but the staff are happy and so are the managers in the office.

Started the Poo and loone yesterday ( mon) With LCT except for 1 loop ( 1 bundle x 2 small items ) the PDA the biggest load of boll@cks I've ever seen. .( more time is wasted on that thing then fannying about with a LCT ) ......There great till you get a recorded item ,with no one in, writing a card out bundle in one hand PDA in the other card in the 3rd hand item in 4th hand.............After 2 days ( the 2 quietest days ) I'm bollocked..TBH God help us in December .............Today our DO suddenly went cold this morning as our DUM's boss appeared from the vaults of satan, she had a nose round to see how many of us were smiling Still this is the same boss who said " IT WILL WORK IN THIS OFFICE "

The P/L started last monday ( btw our cwu rep on a sickie ) by wednesday they were 4 in the office preping there jobs in 1/2 hr before there duty starts I asked one guy "WHY" he told me it's not going to work anyway ( this was on the 2nd day ) plus it's got #uck all to do with you ..This is what we are up against, I think it's called the Domino effect
I've gone over every day last week ( claimed ) So what happens on Saturday when it was a light day the DOM who we never see on Saturday came in to see how many finished early so they can claim some of the OT back from the runners and early birds as just about everone went over BIG TIME over the week , so there was some mega ££'s going on OT last week....I can see our office doing lapsing after christmas becouse of the early birds and the Linford Christies of our office...Maybe one day they might learn

I can only see the Linfords lapsing, it will not affect you my friend as you do the job right.

I cant wait to see some of my offices runners when they have to do more delivering than me.

One day the runners in the office might stop and think about their actions, what it means when they come in early,they will make it worse because the minute something goes wrong and they are in it up to their necks then that will be the time they will find that they are gonna be treated the same as the others.
The managers will look at them the same as the staff that do their job right! They will take you down the discipline road because you were not doing your job right,that will be the time when you will ask yourself why did i do that what was the coming in getting it done,"all the times i have done them favors",that will be the time when they will find out that they don't mean anything your just a number. Your still be disciplined!
