so why did your office except the revision.if your rep agreed to the revision vote him out.
royal mail have made their savings they will now let you sort out the problems.
Our rep refused to sign it off, the Area/Div Rep did - and the reason given - so the members could get the £200..................absolutely pathetic. The line in the sand doesn't exist for the CWU any longer at some levels...........it's appeasement all the way.

And why would you when the senior management who came up with it and the senior union officials who gave it their stamp of approval...didn't know if it would work.

Park&loop is inefficient and deeply flawed.
The IWT is overcomplicated and deeply flawed.
Georoute is half-baked,not fit for purpose and deeply flawed.

To the RM guys who came up with it...i take my hat off to you...if you wanted to run the business into the ground you couldn't have done a better job.
To the union negotiators....enough said.
To the guys who say..."why did you agree to it?"...
What happens when RM tire of your stalling tactics?
What happens when the IR framework has run it's course?
What happens if an office keeps saying no?
We've never had an answer to that. :cuppa

From what i have been told, by a union rep is that there is a pot of £200 million that is being used to pay for vr's, lump sums for revisions and also part of that pot of money is our colleague share money that they are using. So that is why some of these revisions are being signed off, otherwise if it drags out then the money will be gone.

What happens if an office keeps saying no?
We've never had an answer to that. :cuppa In my D.O we tell them that RML would implement something and that no change is not a option as change has been voted for via BT2010 agreement. Trouble is they would vote no at my D.O even if a viable proposal was put to them that was totally completely in line with wording and spirit of BT2010. Whilst the exact detail of the changes is negotiable the actual necessary changes from WSM and DMthds is not going to go away simply because the mbrs dont like the unavoidable impact.

It is my view now that RM and CWU have found themselves in a Mexican Standoff. RM no longer want to put in revisions that cost money and so the huge majority of the workforce are handling extra D2d with no weight on the shoulder solutions many are still on 40 hour weeks and 1:6 sats. If the CWU were to insist on the revision they would be seen to be out of kilter with what 'the members want'. In reality CWU should be calling RMs bluff and pushing the revisions in but all I have seen in my area has been delaying tactics and vague disagreements raised in a hope to make the members feel that their concerns are being heard. There can be no winners here other than Moya and her top dogs. Billy and Dave will be exposed as weak capitulating leaders who have negotiated a deal which they knew would never work and once the 3 year deal is over it wil be every man/office for themselves. Exectutive action for the weak - bullying and harrasment for the strong and a strike followed by a new unworkable agreement to follow. Roll on privatisation.

This agreement has been a disaster its nearly 2 years(!) since its creation and were still nowhere near it being implemented.
Its already cost my office megabucks and its not even live.

Just waiting for the boo hoo whing from managers about the spiralling cost when it in.

Personally i couldnt care less what happens. My goodwill was used up long long ago.

The lies that management have told have led to this, when van shares where put into my office (before the agreement) they failed but because the managers covered it up and told the higher ups that everything was fine they pushed it out to other offices. After 2 years they're still not working and they wont do anything to fix them (the ones on the van share just leave large sections behind mostly everyday).
What RM need are managers and not yes men otherwise it'll never get fixed.

In another job I was once at a meeting to discuss productivity and pointed out the failings in the proposals; during lunch I was taken to one side and told that I was being negative and that I appeared to be uncooperative and was unlikely to progress  well I didn't progress despite being offered higher posts I decided not to play the game and left. There is an element of fear within RM that seems to pervade the whole of the structure from top to bottom.
