That's not an issue its my walk i am on about..you have a valid point for someone doing a different delivery for the first time..
Well you must have a brilliant memory.

I've been doing a walk once a week for three years, and I couldn't tell you half of the 30 odd redirections.

If it was a crime to take anything back, then I'd ask myself, which is the biggest crime, taking a letter back, or posting a letter that should have been re-directed.

Lucky enough to be doing the same walk for a number of years...only 4 re-directions at present..

When it comes to finishing time what do you normally do with mail you haven't delivered yet?
If we take it out WE MUST DELIVER IT in our office...If you don't want to extend the you have to say before you tie up..
The point is there has to be a sensible approach from both parties over missorts.
Would i finish early and take back missorts....no.
Would i go over my time and book 20 mins delivering 4 missorts....no.
Would i try to deliver something that was blatantly important....yes.
Would i spend 15 mins delivering a missorted "sale now on at dfs" leaflet....no.
If we take it out WE MUST DELIVER IT in our office...
There is an assumption that when you leave the office you will be able to complete your delivery...but that's all it is...an assumption,if something prevents you from completing...you contact the office and explain why and then it is up to your manager to deal with the problem.
There is no rule that says you MUST complete your delivery...that would be compulsory overtime but you must keep management informed to cover your own back.
I have to say we have really good managers at my office, some of the c***s some of you work for are, well, c***s, not to be pissed upon if on fire.........I feel for you all
