My job was a css operator not for long but I enjoyed it in fact i loved it, until last year, August I was undergoing various tests to try and find out why I kept getting Heartburn , finally at the beginning of August they found out that I needed to have a triplebypass ,I was given the procedure two weeks later, I was off work for a while then returned to work on light duties as you do , and when atos eventually allowed me to go back on nights and I helped out the other operators until we thought I was ready to go solo . Well unfortunately I found it extremely hard much more so than it was when I last worked on the machines, so my managers have enquired around other local offices looking for an inside job for me but came up with nothing,
I have always worked since I first delivered Christmas post and parcels when I was 15 as a christmas job ,I am 58 years old .
So I have been told that I am going to be medically pensioned off , what happens ?, how does it go ? how much will I get ?
I have worked for RM for almost 14 years continuous , 7 years full time then took a year out when We moved back up north waiting for transfer then 6 years part-time cos couldn`t get a fulltime,
should I find a union rep we do not have one at our office
