Royal Mail Survey Finds Customers Pleased with Service

A survey conducted for Royal Mail found that 84% of its respondents are either satisfied or very satisfied with the service provided by Royal Mail. This compares very favourably with many other industries.

Royal Mail acknowledges, however, there is no room for complacency. They believe it is unfortunate, however, that Which? chose to only reveal the high Royal Mail satisfaction rating towards the end of the report they are publishing today.

We note that the Which? survey found 12% of respondents were dissatisfied with the service Royal Mail provided. They recognise that there are areas where they can improve and they are working hard to do so.

The Which? survey covers quality of service and postage prices. Royal Mail believes their prices are among the lowest in Europe. Most countries do not provide a six-day service, or enable their customers to post as late in the day they we do. Their standards for on time performance are higher than most countries. They achieved their First Class quality target with a 93% performance when account is taken of the impact of the extraordinary combination of the worst winter weather in living memory and the unprecedented closure of UK airspace, because of the Icelandic volcanic ash.

Which? suggests that many people it surveyed had received their post late in the day. The survey does not make clear what it means by "late". Royal Mail’s aim is to deliver the mail by 3pm in urban areas and 4pm in rural areas. Clearly, they cannot deliver to the UK’s 28.8 million addresses at the same time. Some people will receive their mail earlier because they are at the beginning of a round, and others later because they are at the end of a round. They note that 99% of Which? diarists actually received their mail by 4pm. It is likely that the reason that 1% said there was no post is that there was not mail available for delivery. The results suggest that the time of day that people received their mail was in line with Royal Mail service standards.

If anyone experiences the misdelivery of mail, or the delivery of a ‘while you were out’ card when they are in, Royal Mail would urge them to contact us at http://www.royalmail.com/customerservices" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; so that they can ensure this is not repeated.

A survey conducted for Royal Mail by its very own bully-boy managers found that 84% of its respondents are either satisfied or very satisfied with the service provided by Royal Mail. This compares very favourably with many other industries.
7 people and their cats were asked:
Are you satisfied or very satisfied with the service provided by Royal Mail?
Only one person and their cat were injured during the poll. This compares very favourably with accidents in the building trade said a RM spokesperson.

That was downgraded to an incident. :cuppa

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

surveys are a waste of time, they only produce results that the company wants to hear! i can tell you from personal experience that says the opposite. but hey i don't live in a parallel universe! :Very Happy
