Come late August, early September this is going to get very messy unless someone has the courage to stand up and admit that almost every major revision has gone badly wrong...and it's not the fault of the members.
Otherwise this company could be on it's last legs by Christmas. :whistle

Never mind the company............I'll be on MY last legs by Christmas

But if they suspend the delivery methods revisions but still bring in walk sequenced mail, you end up with longer delivery spans with none of the safeguards.
This is the best of both worlds for RM and a total disaster for walking posties.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

My question is this..........The Way Forward agreement states there will be revisions to 'take the weight off the posties backs', well, obviously now the revisions are cancelled/postponed/not going to happen (call it what you like) how do they adhere to the agreement and take the weight off us?

Your thoughts o knowledgeable peeps?
they can start by scrapping this 6 d2d nonesense, all they seem to have acheived in getting this weight off my shoulder,, IS TO PUT MORE WEIGHT ON IT

To be honest, every revision seems to make this bloody job more painful to endure.
I wouldn't care if I never again was subjected to another Royal Mail revision.

If its part of the deal it must go on, if they stop it CWU better get their lawyers on had to take them to court. Suspending it will be breaking the agreement.

I am here ! I attended a meeting on Monday with the Thames Valley Directors and they certainly did not mention any pause in fact the Thames Valley region has introduced more delivery revisions then any other region. The ex Regional director Rob Jenson is now the Nationally Delivery Director and he is taking the lead Thames Valley Planner on a road show of the country.

Now last year Thames Valley introduced some revisions which were disasters like Maidenhead but this year they claim the revisions which are going in are working. On a side note Thames Valley was expected to be the area which would see the biggest growth in Door to Doors however the Door to Door walk bundling centres have seen the door 2 door declining over recent months and not growing the average across the Thames Valley region is 3.5.

There was an important meeting held this week between Moya , John Duncan , mark Higson and the CWU in line with the conference motion and I expect further talks to take place with a further agreement maybe a BT 2011 2 agreement to follow to deal with the fact that revisions are not working or taking so long to deploy they are denying our members the lump sums and are unpopular and are based on too much science which very few understand , maybe a new reward process and a new mail centre consultation process.

But hey what do I know ?

From what i can gather this talk of stopping revisions may have come about where they have pulled revisions in smaller rural offices. Who can not make savings within the shared van senario. Where as larger town based offices they think they can.
