Last week we had to deliver Salvation army charity bags as D2D
On the bag it stated to be picked up on mon 18th, I put the bag along with quite a few others on my delivery.
no Collection

Today while out on my delivery at the other end of it, a van pulls up with salvation army on it and the guy asks had I seen any bags out :d'oh! .

I said I think you should contact your co ordinater as you was suppose to collect on monday, as we delivered them last week :arrrghhh .

I expect the blame will be on us by they salvation army saying they were not delivered on the right day.
I had to :chuckle

Thursdays are normally the heaviest, but today followed the rest of the week's pattern and was really light. Even with a 10 minute chat with another postie on the round, finished 25 minutes early.

Will all go tits up tomorrow for us part-timers though. Our lino starts his holiday, which is a basically a malingerer's charter. Expecting a mountain of mail waiting for me when I get in

Busy the last few days with loads of packets. Still got problems on the IPS due to changes made, coupled with the longer duties etc. Weekend off now so I'm putting my feet up... in between visits to the pub. :Very Happy

Watch out for local water authority letters - apparently there has been a change in the law and every address has to be contacted to explain the situation. Its about pipes etc. At Huddersfield they all came in in one go Yesterday.

Not had any bulk mailings in my area this week, perhaps tomorrow then :arrrghhh

My first full week on P & L and my new 5-1 rotation. The painkillers have taken a hammering this week and the knees were protesting this morning before I even got into work

I would have stayed for the extra 30 minutes today - or slapped in a grevience - he has banked hours (no national agreement) and is using the 30 minute flexibility (which is for unseen circumstances) incorrectly.

Wonder if Clash will join in?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
