Haven't had WTL for months and when we did before, it was only because it was a quiet day and they wanted to stop everyone going out.
Pointless anyway, they would bring up a Health and Safety issue and then most of the time would be spent with us raising the same unanswered questions time after time.

were told today that we will be having one to ones in october in private. as part of it is about the managers would there be any repercusions if we told them what we actually thought about them or do they expect us just to kiss arse?
also told that later starts will be coming in on sep 17th as agreed by our rep before.

our rep was pressured into signing up for later starts then resigned because he felt he had let us down. the area rep got the agreement put on hold while the current talks were going on because they were part of the IA so how can our dom say that they are definately going ahead?

As above we were told our later start duties should come in by mid October. We had to sign a form stating wether or not we were happy to start work 75 minutes later than normal and if not, why not.

Manager did admit it all depended on the outcome of the talks.

Well kill the idea of Summer Lapsing, sick cover without OT, and stop intimidating posties when they say they can't finishes in time.

Also stop trying to pay peanuts and expecting Einsteins to work for you.

Imagine it! If you get pulled in for misdelivering down steam crapcess, you could always say "It wasn't me! It must have been that useless sod from TNT!"

Trackers

Post by celtic »

Our wtll was about getting trackers fitted in the vans so they know where we are,
how long we take for our breaks, and for those with longer rounds than others
this will help them cos it records how long you stop for. so if you do the job properly
take your full break come back late, then the managers have no excuse they`ve got to
believe you that your
crazy rounds to big. But i do think it is a waste of money if it doesnt
work in our favour.

Anyone else heard of these trackers.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

We had a 12 minute misdelivery video and i got taken aside and patronised like a child for supposedly making 'comments' which i shouldnt as a union rep. I just laughed in the screws face, he was a wanna be rep that only got 15 votes and thus went to the dark side.
