This sounds quite bad actually :sad: You all need to try to stick together on this. Your rep should call a meeting and get everyone to agree to do the job properly and not go over, as an office. If you all pull as one then you can beat the doms on this i promise you and it wont take long when everyone starts bringing mail back and it piles up around their feet. :Very Happy

We had a meeting and the DOM said if we dont like it then we can leave! He said i dont see many leaving! Its unbelievable down here, one bloke was in the office 45 minutes today as he keeps breaking off. 3 managers were trying to break him. At the end of our floor meeting the DOM said it could be worse, you could be dead! Well its a close run thing at the moment. Just wish they had undercover cameras here to see how we are treated then send them to Head Office for them to see what their managers bullying tactics really are doing to us>

This could be seen as bullying as its supposed to be a consultation to find out the delivery problem not a good cop bad cop interrogation.

Well taken in a literal sense (and why not) that amounts to a threat and therefore the rep should put in a grievance

I know its easy for me to say all these things but over the years our office has had it share of bulling managers and 3 out of 4 were in fact sacked after we all killed them in the "have your say" and made complaints upon complaints against them.

The 4th was promoted to area SOM :shock: But that's RM for you iam affraid :confused :roll:

yeh cheers for all the advice. No the guy had no union rep as it started out as a discussion as to why he couldnt deliver all the mail in the time given, then it escalated into a slanging match. Im afraid here its a bad cop, bad cop office. Lets see what tomorrow brings i suppose but it is awful down here.

Think that's a big problem..."Come into the Office for a quick chat.." Do you immediately ask for the Rep to be present? It might seem like an over-reaction, BUT if it starts to get a bit serious? :hmmmm Suppose you could ask for the "Quick Chat" to be put on pause and then ask for the Rep to be called! :no no

I've found it's normally the DIM who starts to loose it first and when you mention "Finishing on time and not wanting any Overtime" they suddenly start spouting...Operational Needs...Flexible Working..."Going down the Disciplinary Route"..... :arrrghhh

I done a P & L duty today, everything was going fine until the last 4 loops which are completely :crazy: Don't understand why the duty holder has done nothing about it or is too lazy to do something about it. Also triggered a Stage 2 today, went home sick on Thursday after my delivery, so spent Friday & Saturday off puking and 2 days in February with my knee. I've been doing so well aswell :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

Got to a house today on a walk I'd never been on before. Sellotaped to the door was a plastic bag containing a letter, as well as a message - 'postman, this letter is for 58 x y road, not 58 x road'.

I left it there.

Talking of puking up doors, a chap in our office was caught last year having a dump in a customers wheelie bin as he had no toilet stop point on a round he was covering. The customer said "what are you doing?". I think dave said he told the customer he was having a sit down and got stuck! How he explained the trousers around his ankles i dont know.
