What is delivery supplement ?

justr seen on my payslip delivery supplement ( im a newbie

i was wondering what it is and how much do you get ?

Delivery supplement is the payment for delivering the Junk Mail (Door-to-doors or whatever they call it atm )

I get £10.44, before tax, every week - no matter how much D2D there is.

Apparantly the delivery supplement is not d2d related and is only worked out pro rata for how many hours your contracted for

It's a supplement paid to you no matter what you deliver. Don't spend it all at once.

its part of the royal mail screw job, full timers lost early start allowance and can deliver up to 6 sets of door to doors for a brill £9.00 when you take the loss of d2d money into account.
Meal relief will be taken for a payment of £50.00.

If you are part-time and do any overtime above your contract hours, "SSPR" is paid at a higher rate than "first 10 hours" overtime (40-50 hours) to take account of the "Delivery Supplement," so that a PT who worked 40 hours would have the same gross pay of £380.41 as a FT.

Its a rip off, where you get paid less for doing more, and our great Union leaders signed us up to it, in the name of job protection.
