Planners a waste of time and money

I am of the belief that there is a greater force at work here....planners and DOMS are being asked to bring in revision which they know will fail to get the service to rock bottom then when privatisation comes it will be heralded as the savior of RM and the public will be fooled into supporting this. The CWU cannot pull out of BT2010 without losing face and neither can RM. Net result chaos and catastrophy for the working man.

Planners makes me laugh!Just what do they get the money for?When at the end of it they then want a one to one to pick our brains.I do not get paid enough to do my job and theirs as well.Dont forget our knowledge is our intellectual property not theirs!Once we get it in our heads we are not providing the same "service"as we were even 5 years ago the easier it will be to just work your time.All I know is park and loop starburst whatever, I am going home at 2-230pm or whatever other ludicrouse finishing time the powers to be come up with.

They want less posties, delivering more mail, and are unable to make the passage of time go slower, or quicker.

The more they try, the more they are bound to fail, the more they will make a pig's ear of our jobs. You cannot bang a round peg into a square hole, without making a mess of either the peg, or the hole, or even both.

The senior management will have to get their thick heads around the fact, that they have gone as far as they are ever going to be able to go, as far as making more work for delivery staff goes.

We are only human, we can only do so much walking, lifting, carrying, each day, every week, every year.

Where is health & safety whenever you really need 'em, eh?

tHE FAT PLANNER in my office was more interested in the 18mths he was at the office,was getting in the ladies underwear than doing his job,anyway in that 18mths all that he sorted,after realising the office was to big for him was put 2 walks that are near each other together and let the postmen sort it.Yet again more money wasted by royal fail

Ours has been with us 10 months, he handed out the final revision sheet,then on his day off another came in said ignore the sheets and handed out new ones he had done in a day! And to be fair they were better!

The best system will always be minibus drivers who deliver 2nd bags and do all the parcels etc and postman on foot doing their own delivery .
