Another one!!!

Post by POSTMAN »

Once again i've jumped into the middle of a RMC hit squad thread, and i'm not happy as i usually stay away from these things.
I'm still getting over the Primark dude

Give MM hell boys :nana :nana
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

He's not worth the effort mate. If I wanted to spend time discussing things with shite like that, I would find a Conservative or BNP website, or just see one of the so-called managers in work. They're all the same.

What have I done. The posties are coming to get me. oh no!

The way you people are acting, towards authority in your work place, is like school kids towards their teachers/headmasters. It's, well how should I put this...
Pathetic!

Actually if you had been working for Royal Mail you might have realized that the bosses treated us with contempt and refused to negotiate.
A bit like kids in the playground "Na Na your not my friend any more" .

The union the called a ballot which was supported by 77% of those who voted. Still RM refused to negotiate so we carried out or threat. As soon as they started to talk to the union the strikes were called off. So not sure where you can site this as pathetic towards management.

If you are talking about the comments on here. Well this is in our own time and is a way we let off steam just like a lot of workers do. Just because they have authority does not mean they are right

Just wondering have you seen the CWUScum videos on YouTube or perhaps you posted them :hmmmm

TBT, I'm not even sure what CWU stands for, so I haven't seen the videos nor posted them. I have nothing to do with RM, yet. I only came on here to ask for some interview tips, then people get paranoid, as I'm asking questions and call me an "intruder", thats all.

The problem started when you asked if you would be called a scab if you crossed the picket line. On this a pro-union site it was a bit like showing a red rag to a bull, as some people consider strike breakers on a par with thieves and other low life. It might have been a genuine question but perhaps a little naive.

CWU is our own union - Communications Workers Union.

Hope that explains what happened.

I now know the question was naive, but at the time I didn't know anything about RM they post mail. I now know it was naive, still no need to be called an intruder.

You say you're from Glasgow? Have you ever heard of Red Clydeside?

Then doesn't the idea of someone from Glasgow and its environs not knowing what defines a scab sound a bit absurd to you?

I knew what a scab was just wondering, if I would be considered one, if I didn't strike in my first month or so at RM. And what is Armani? Apart from the fashion company thing...

Of course you would be. By the original definition, not being a member of a union would make you a scab. By the more recent definition, crossing a picket line would make you a scab.
