My god, a respectable proportion of the guillable population falls for the propoganda dished out at every election by the likes of labour and conservatives!
I neither hate or love the BNP, indifferent and read all leaflets, papers, etc etc with open eyes and make my own judgements.
And to go back to the original post; I delivered mine, just like any other party. It's what I'm paid to do, I am not paid to pass my own judgement on mail, leaflets or otherwise. To not deliver is wilful delay, simple as that.
Surely for all those who refuse to deliver you are like them, trying to force your opinion on others rather than giving them the choice to read the leaflet and make their own minds up..
On the contrary. I don't believe in censorship either, and make my own mind up, rather than blindly accepting anyone's propoganda. My objections to the BNP, are that they are so aggressive, and dismissive in their attitude. They actually have some very good ideas, when it comes to general policy, as I've said many times, when we've had similar discussions. BUT they also try to incite hatred of "immigrants", despite the fact that they too, have immigrant blood. But so long as you're the same colour as them, and have no living relatives who were born abroad, they think you're indigenous, and are therefore part of a superior race. Which in their opinion, gives you more rights than anyone else. They regularly state that they're completely different from the Nazi Party. And in many respects, they're right. The Nazis wanted to exterminate anyone who wasn't part of "The Master Race", and the BNP just want to deport anyone who isn't indigenous to Britain. A huge difference! But in far more respects, they're exactly the same.
I don't condone refusing to deliver their leaflets, on the grounds that you disagree with their policies. Personally, I work indoors, not on Deliveries, so it isn't something which I've had to face. But if I was, and I worked in an area with a lot of people who didn't fit in with the BNP's opinion of British people. Then I WOULD refuse to deliver them, on the grounds that they would be offensive to the people I was delivering to. A COMPLETELY different issue.
That's not censorship. It's being sensitive to the feelings of those you're delivering to. And besides. Someone else would deliver them anyway. I just wouldn't have it on MY concience.
