the problem is that the managers who make these terrible cock-ups are "fire-proof".
not only do they not get sacked.
they usually get promoted.
and always get big bonuses.
but our union at local and national level must get more "pro-active"

ive heard from a senior management position.... that p&l and all that is happening was planned to fail, fail, costing millions.... also too run out of money..... it's been planned from the top... thats why it's all failing....... you don't think management are stupid,,,,, it's been put across to everyone in ROYAL MAIL that management are idiots.... thust me they know what they are doing and its being decimated for a reason.............

Hmmm...

In the run-up to privatisation, would it not be a jolly good scheme to spend millions on a way of working that is so woefully unworkable that the spending on trying to make it work almost bankrupts the company. Why ? The share price upon privatisation is as cheap as chips and those on fat-cat salaries can fill their boots with more shares than they'd get if the price was set more realistically. Park and loop ceases as soon as the shares go on the Stock Market, and within two years, profits soar (assisted by RM not having to use any of the profits to plug the pension deficit that the government has by then taken on) and ta-da !

1) government can claim privatisation is what turned RM's fortunes around

2) fat-cats see their shares soar in value

Allegedly.

Well, if we ever see any lump sums or the ColleagueShares money (I have faith in the CWU ), perhaps we can all invest it in those proper shares as well, and ride the gravy train too ?
