told me to put it to him in writing that I didn't want overtime.
I take it I don't actually need to do this?
Nope.Only if it's SA.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Yesterday and today were about the same, not terrible on mail but packets were heaving. Strange thing is that yesterday I took 15 739ed parcels back (had a bag full plus two full panniers on the bike!), today only 3. Thursday must be everybody's day off.

Massive day today, letters to nearly every house (multiple letters too), well at least they didn't send them in on Saturday which is what they usually do

Phone call at just gone 9am asking if I'd do a walk. Long day, but at least I knew the area. Nice houses and people. Wouldn't have done it if It had been some shitty council estate.

It's awful how these line managers just stand still and do nothing but lucky for your line manager someone has seen him and helped him to get going again

Also had the stand in manager beg me to do an hour of delivery after I was due to finish. I did it in exchange for an hour less tomorrow...
